You are invited to attend the Opening Reception for each of our monthly shows. These events are free and open to the public, feature wine and hors d’ oerves, and a chance to meet the artists and hear them speak about their work at 7 p.m. Reception date and time are listed with each show. June 2018: “Northern Neighbors” from North Muskegon, Whitehall, and Montague display paintings and pottery by Gallery Uptown artists and friends, Linda Foley, Peter Johnson, Curt Sanders, and Ann Trowbridge.
July 2018: “State of MinE” is our annual show that celebrates Michigan with works by Michigan artists Lynne Boezaart, Julie Hegedus, Cheryl Jordan, Richard Jordan, Mary Sundstrom, Barbara Schilling, and Teresa Wooden.
The show will run from July 5-29 with an opening reception on Friday, July 6, 5:30-8.
August 2018: “Art Beneath the Bark” will feature new work by Catherine McClung, Doug Brinks, Mike McClung, and Mary Lanka. This show will be available for viewing for the month of August, with an opening reception scheduled August 10, from 5:30- 8.
(This First Friday is one week later than usual due to Coast Guard Festival.)
May 2018: “May Meditations” presents an awesome, eclectic mix of mediums and styles by awesome, eclectic artists including Bette DelVecchio, Skye Gentle, Ele Goudreau, Marc Hoeksma, Jill Jeltema, Jasmine Dawn Rogers, Julie Sanford, Hana Sawyer, Mary Sundstrom, and Dave Warmenhoven.
April 2018: “Variations” features a broad mixture of styles and media by artists Joan Bonnette, Christine Towner, Jim Babala, Tim Bellard, and Todd Johnson.
March 2018: “March Madness” was an intriguing and thought provoking exhibit with eight artists–Kristi Beukema, Katherine Bourdon, Adde Lou Garter, Cat Jackson, Chandra Jennings, Colleen Rockey, Amy Wilkinson, and Amy Young–who examined the concept of madness.
