You are invited to attend the Opening Reception for each of our monthly shows. These events are free and open to the public, feature wine and hors d’ oerves, and a chance to meet the artists and hear them speak about their work at 7 p.m. Reception date and time are listed with each show. September 2017: “Art Beneath the Bark”: Through the month of September, Gallery Uptown transitions from summer to autumn with a collection of artistic expression through cotton fabric, wood working and wooded scenes. Featured are quilts and wood turnings by Lana and Ron Campbell, woodland scenes in watercolor by Catherine McClung, and woodworking and wood turning pieces by Steve Lohr, Doug Brinks,Tom Sampson, Jeff Grill and Michael McClung.
September 28-October 8, 2017: ArtWalk This is Grand Haven’s version of ArtPrize. Stroll through Gallery Uptown to view the work of our four guest artists: Marie Marfia, Clare E. Stephens, Chip VanderWier, and Kris Campau.
October 2017: “October Curiosities” will include artwork by , Kris Campau, David Lancashire, Marie Marfia, Suzanne Moynihan, Rain Plattner, and Chip VanderWier

November 2017: “Expressions in Color & Form” New work on exhibit by Nora Faber, Mary Lanka, Ottawa House Clay + Glass, and Sean Sterzer

December 2017: “Holiday Gifts” Opening Reception December 1, 5:30-8 p.m.
(The December exhibit will be up November 22 for Holiday Shoppers)
August 2017: “State of MinE” Lake Michigan seascapes and Michigan-themed pottery with glazes that evoke the waters of Lake Michigan highlight “State of MinE”. This all Michigan-themed show features six area artists: Aziza Abbasi, Lynne Boezaart, and Michele Gort with their oils of local street scenes, landscapes, and seascapes; Cheryl Jordan, and Mark and Patti Mohrenweiser with Michigan-themed pottery; and Bob Walma with wonderful photography of local scenes.
July 2017: “Musings in Paint & Stone” Gallery Uptown began its summer season with the show “Musings in Paint & Stone”, featuring gallery artist members Marlan Cotner and Jackie Helder, along with noted local artists Maggie Bandstra and Brian Meuser.
