Jan McLaughlin

Jan has a BA from Michigan State University where she majored in art  education.   After a 37 year career as a high school art teacher in Oakridge Pubic  Schools In Muskegon , Jan retired in 2010 and since that time has focused on her own art, working in oils on canvas.

Jan is also currently a docent at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, an experience she has found enriching for her own artistic expression.  

Jan says, "Being a lifelong learner is surely a road to fulfillment...every empty canvas a challenge and a new beginning."
