"The environmental and social landscape challenges me to determine both what I am seeing and how it makes me feel. Exploring innovative processes for recording meaningful imagery is fun and contributes to a creative life. Michigan is spectacular in every season, and a walk outside can fill anyone with wonder. It is always a pleasure to share my work with others -- and exhibit along with an artist friend. I hope you enjoy these impressions and find joy in your next stroll around your neighborhood."

"I consider myself a maker of things. In the past I have strictly made sculptures out of steel. For this show I also have weavings made of rope and other industrial materials and whimsical assemblage pieces that are unique and many contain items from the past. Give me a pile of random objects and I love the creative challenge of making something people enjoy looking at. If the creation makes them smile or laugh that really makes my heart sing. "
