Catherine McClung’s new series of watercolor paintings is called Not-So-Still-Life. She has found a fresh and exciting challenge of painting birds in uncommon places. This unusual theme of presenting birds with collected artifacts gives us a sense of nostalgia and preserves the past.

Peter Johnson, from Whitehall, Michigan and known locally as
"Peter the Potter" was a long time member of Gallery Uptown. He was recruited in the seventies by its founding members, when the gallery was above a Grand Haven hardware store, above a book store, and then in its current location.
He has been working with clay for over sixty years at Terrestrial Forming Pottery Studio.
Many of his thirty-six apprentices have become full time artists.
