Catherine McClung

Catherine McClung’s new series of watercolor paintings is called  Not-So-Still-Life. She has found a fresh and exciting challenge of painting  birds in uncommon places. This unusual theme of presenting birds with  collected artifacts gives us a sense of nostalgia and preserves the  past.

Peter Johnson

Peter Johnson, from Whitehall, Michigan and known locally as
"Peter the Potter" was a long time member of Gallery Uptown.  He was recruited in the seventies by its founding members, when the gallery was above a Grand Haven hardware store, above a book store, and then in its current       location.

He has been working with clay for over sixty years at       Terrestrial Forming Pottery Studio.

Many of his thirty-six apprentices have become full time artists.
